Snow Shoeing in Waterton Park

Waterton Lakes Park offers over 200 km of snowshoeing trails for your enjoyment.

Waterton Lakes National Park is a winter wonderland! In the winter, the park is the perfect place to have your winter getaway. Waterton Park boasts more than 200 kilometers of hiking trails offering a serene, quiet snow shoe hike during the winter season.

Be sure when hiking in the winter you follow the necessary precautions to ensure your safety. Due to the park's sparse population in the winter, animals will frequent the trails more often. it is important to make your presence known on the trails. The best way to do this is by making "human" noises (i.e. singing songs, clapping, and talking).
