The Park is wilderness at your doorstep. Lying in a rugged
section of the northern Rockies, it is known for its rugged
mountain peaks and abundance of wildlife. Glacier National Park
adjoins Waterton Lakes National Park in Alberta, Canada, to
create Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park- an ideal
"two nation vacation." The first of its kind in the
world, Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park celebrates the
longest undefended border in history. Glacier has more than 700
miles of foot and horse trails. Guided hikes, horseback trips,
and boat tours are available. Approximately 1000 front-country
campsites are available on first-come, first-serve basis. Park
accommodations feature historic hotels and lodges.
