Rainy Day Activities

Waterton is a place to be outdoors. So what do you do if it rains? Plenty! Here are a few suggestions:

  • Hit the recreation center and work out, swim, relax in the hot tub, or play a game of pool or foosball

  • Have a glass of wine at Vimy’s

  • Curl up with a cup of coffee at Pearls and read a book or get on the internet

  • Grab a board game from the front desk

  • Head to Twin Butte for some delicious local Mexican food

  • Hit the movies at Waterton’s historic opera house

  • High tea at the Prince of Wales

  • Drive into Cardston and visit the Remington Carriage Museum

  • Go for a drive up to Cameron Lake

  • Picnic in the camp kitchen by the lakeshore

  • Check out Head Smashed in Buffalo Jump in Fort Macleaod

  • Visit the Gust Gallery and check out local artwork

Not Afraid to Get Wet? Go creeking at Red Rock Canyon!


Have a Passport? Hit Glacier National Park!

  • Drive along the famous Going to the Sun Road

  • Jump back to the 1950s at the Park Cafe in St. Mary’s

  • Have high tea at the Many Glacier Hotel

  • Visit the Blackfoot Interpretive Center in Babb, MT
